Role Overview
We're hiring a senior 'Developer-Hacker' skilled in vehicle ECU binary analysis and cloud-based C# services development. You'll design cloud features interacting with vehicle control modules, reverse engineer firmware binaries, and handle complex checksum validations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform binary reverse engineering and custom checksum calculations.
- Master communication protocols like UDS (ISO 14229), J1939, and OEM-specific stacks.
- Analyze CAN logs using tools like Vehicle Spy, PCAN, CANalyzer.
- Collaborate on firmware review and secure bootloader support.
Qualifications
- 7+ years in automotive software engineering, especially aftermarket/performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with Ford, GM, Stellantis, Polaris diagnostic protocols.
- Proficient in CAN bus, UDS, J1939, OBD-II, and hardware interfaces.
- Expertise with ECU firmware formats and disassembly tools.
- US-based candidates only.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related fields.
