Automotive Counter Sales/Parts Pro Job Summary

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to service requests and inquiries for auto parts and supplies.
• Handle customer concerns via phone, email, or in-person.
• Provide effective solutions and ensure excellent customer satisfaction from all transactions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Adhere to the store's "Basic Service Statement".
• Be punctual and wear the correct attire for work.
• Assist customers in determining needs and selling necessary products.
• Become proficient using computerized point of sale systems.
• Keep merchandise labelled and current.
• Maintain store cleanliness and free from hazards.
• Participate in store inventories and meetings.
• Improve job knowledge through training.
• Use order processing systems efficiently and record all lost sales.
• Keep catalog and price sheets current.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of auto parts and computer skills (Windows, Excel, Word, Internet).
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to handle inventory and answer phones.

Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED, or one year related experience/training.

Physical Demands:

• Normal vision, speech, and hearing coordination.
• Ability to walk, stand for 2 1/2 hours, lift 55 pounds safely, and use a ladder.
• Stand/walk on hard surfaces for 8 hours.
