Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician

Department: Operations
Reports to: Plant Manager OR QA Manager/Supervisor with dotted line to Director of Quality
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Travel: Limited, as needed to other sites

Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Technician ensures the highest standards in production and safety, coaching Inspector/Packers, verifying tool calibration, and collaborating with Production Supervisors to maintain quality. A proactive team player, the candidate will work on sorting, re-inspections, and bring effective quality problem resolutions. Expectation for independence and adherence to Altor’s standards for both conduct and safety.

Essential Duties

  • Train Inspector/Packers and conduct quality refresher training
  • Conduct QA inspections and audits, evaluate products, and assist in resolving quality problems
  • Manage quarantines and collaborate with Production Supervisors
  • Enthusiastically participate in continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Over 2 years in a quality control role
  • Strong analytical skills and detail orientation
  • Familiarity with quality standards like ISO 9001
