Pittsburgh Regional Transit is on the lookout for a skilled Automotive Mechanic. The role involves performing a variety of inspection and repair procedures on revenue and non-revenue equipment or vehicles, including Wheelchair, A/C, and Pennsylvania State Inspections. You will troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment, weld or cut metal parts, and perform the functions of an Automotive Repairperson.
Essential Functions:
- Carry out detailed scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance.
- Replace fluids and filters, adjust brakes, and check vehicle systems.
- Diagnose and repair air, electrical, hydraulic, or mechanical systems.
- Repair and rebuild air conditioning and wheelchair units.
- Change mounted tire/wheel assemblies.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Automotive Certificate with 2 years of experience or 4 years of related work.
- Valid PA Driver’s License, Class C, and ability to obtain Class B CDL.
- This is a Safety Sensitive position with mandatory drug and alcohol testing.
