Job description

Under the guidance of the Manufacturing Supervisor, the Automotive Painter will spray surfaces with protective materials like thinner or water-based paint. You'll work in a state-of-the-art, air-conditioned facility in Phoenix. This role requires an Industrial or Automotive painter for a first shift running Monday through Thursday, with potential overtime on Friday from 6am-4:30pm. Proficiency with an HVLP paint gun and familiarity with a pressure pot is necessary. Some sanding and grinding experience is required, and candidates will undergo a spray test.

Responsibilities:

  • Select and mix paint colors accurately.
  • Operate manual paint pumps for special colors or small batches.
  • Handle oversized materials in a manual spray booth, which includes power washing and drying.
  • Clean spraying equipment with solvent.
  • Maintain the paint exhaust filter system.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED; or equivalent experience/training.
  • Preferred prior experience in powder coat painting.
  • Physical ability to move up to 50 pounds regularly and more than 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Must wear OSHA-approved safety gear.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
