- Perform diagnosis and repair of prototype vehicle’s electrical/mechanical/software systems
- Maintain detailed records of all work performed
- Keep test equipment operational by performing routine maintenance and minor repairs/adjustments
- Design, build, and modify vehicle instrumentation, mounting systems, test equipment, and wiring harnesses.
- Fabricate or modify existing prototype components/fixtures
- Document setup, troubleshooting, and test results; communicate issues and propose improvements
- Prepare vehicles for testing, including instrumentation installation and troubleshoot data loggers
- Execute vehicle testing and data capture with support from test engineers
- Communicate directly with engineers and other technicians for robust technical support
- Load and transport prototype vehicles to test locations
- Test drive prototype vehicles
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with partners and stakeholders
