Job Summary

This role requires certification as a Medical Assistant (MA) in North Carolina. The technician will deliver top-notch care to allergy patients, involving tasks such as administering allergy tests and injections and managing symptoms. Additionally, the role supports department operations through inventory management, maintaining medical records, and providing assistance as required.

Essential Functions

• Perform allergy tests and document results.
• Prepare allergy serums and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Manage inventory of antigens, serums, and medical supplies.
• Minimize risks by verifying patient identity and following sterile procedures.
• Document patient interactions accurately for coding and billing.
• Ensure exam rooms are prepared and support continuity of care through communication with patients.

Requirements

• Certification as a Medical Assistant or EMT.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: One year of healthcare experience in a group practice setting.
