Job Description
The Mechanical Supervisor is critical in leading the team of Diesel Mechanics within the Service Department. This role involves managing personnel and processes to maximize productivity and quality output. You'll be a key problem-solver, aligning with company goals and maintaining excellent inter-departmental relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily Diesel Mechanics operations
- Collaborate with Production Manager for schedule accuracy
- Train technicians for efficiency and accuracy
- Lead department procedures to assure quality
- Develop new hire training
- Promote teamwork and drive productivity
- Resolve departmental issues
- Enforce company policies and legal regulations
- Manage shop equipment maintenance
- Monitor budget for trucks
- Competence in aftertreatment
- Organize daily and monthly meetings
- Oversee service orders for timely completion
Required Education, Skills & Abilities:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Over 5 years of diesel mechanical and management experience
- Strong management abilities and electrical aptitude preferred
- Proven leadership of teams with 8+ members
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
