Senior Quality Engineers play a crucial role in driving both short-term and long-term quality goals in alignment with divisional objectives. They are responsible for implementing shop floor quality procedures, supporting advanced product planning, and conducting system audits for compliance. A successful engineer is self-motivated, a natural problem solver, and excels under pressure while multitasking effectively. The role includes leading quality initiatives, mentoring the quality team, and handling internal and external corrective actions with the help of Six Sigma methodologies. The engineer will analyze quality metrics, oversee product launches and change management, and serve as a technical resource for training needs. Extensive experience and a background in automotive industry tools and methodologies are essential, with Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred.
