Job description

As a Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic, you'll take charge of maintenance, repair, and recovery operations for wheeled vehicles and select armored vehicles vital to the Army's mission. Responsibilities include inspecting, servicing, maintaining, and repairing vehicles, material handling equipment, and automotive electrical systems, ensuring mission readiness and safety.

Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizen or permanent resident with a Green Card
  • Aged 17–34 years
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Compliant with tattoo guidelines
  • No major law violations
  • No significant medical issues

Training & Certifications:

  • 124 Nationally recognized certifications
  • 10 weeks of Basic Training
  • 14 weeks of Advanced Individual Training
  • Required ASVAB Scores: 92 (Mechanical Maintenance) OR 87, 85 (General Technical)
