Job description

As a Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic, you'll supervise and perform maintenance, repair, and recovery operations on both wheeled vehicles and select armored vehicles. These vehicles serve various mission-critical roles for the Army. You'll work on inspecting, servicing, maintaining, repairing, replacing, adjusting, and testing wheeled vehicles and material handling equipment systems alongside automotive electrical systems. This includes work on wiring harnesses and starting and charging systems.

Requirements: Be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident with a valid Green Card, aged 17–34, possessing a high school diploma or GED. You must meet tattoo guidelines, have no major law violations, and no significant medical concerns.

Training & Certifications: You can earn up to 124 nationally recognized certifications. Initial training includes 10 weeks of basic training followed by 14 weeks of advanced individual training. You'll need a score of 92 in ASVAB Mechanical Maintenance (MM) or 85 in ASVAB General Technical (GT).

Skills You'll Learn: Maintenance & Repairs, Electronic Troubleshooting, Electrical Systems.
