Role Overview

We seek a senior "Developer-Hacker" with expertise in ECU binary analysis, CAN protocols, and cloud-based C# service development. Lead system architecture, firmware processing, and protocol troubleshooting in a hands-on role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reverse engineer ECU/TCU/PCM firmware binaries; perform checksum and CRC validations
  • Master OEM protocols (UDS, J1939, J1939, OEM-specific)
  • Analyze CAN logs with sniffer tools like Vehicle Spy and CANalyzer
  • Collaborate on firmware with embedded teams

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years in automotive software engineering, aftermarket or tuning focus
  • In-depth experience with Ford, GM, Stellantis, Polaris diagnostic systems
  • Strong knowledge of CAN bus, OBD-II, UDS protocols, and hardware interfaces
  • Proficient with ECU firmware formats and binary disassemblers
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related, or equivalent experience
  • Located in the U.S. for real-time collaboration
