Role Overview

Seeking a senior "Developer-Hacker" skilled in low-level vehicle systems and cloud-based C# development. You'll architect systems blending ECU binary analysis, vehicle protocol mastery, and complex checksum validation, working closely with firmware developers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reverse engineer ECU/TCU/PCM firmware, performing hex deconstructions and checksum implementations.
  • Master communication protocols like UDS, J1939, and OEM-specific stacks.
  • Analyze CAN logs with tools such as Vehicle Spy and PCAN.
  • Collaborate on firmware challenges including secure bootloader development.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years automotive software engineering with aftermarket/performance focus.
  • Hands-on experience with Ford, GM, Stellantis, Polaris diagnostic systems.
  • Expertise in CAN bus, UDS, J1939, OBD-II, and relevant hardware interfaces.
  • Proficient with ECU firmware formats and disassembler tools.
  • US-based candidates preferred for real-time collaboration.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
