Role Overview

We seek a hands-on "Developer-Hacker" with expertise in vehicle low-level systems and cloud service development. This senior role involves architecting cloud features interacting with vehicle modules, analyzing ECU firmware binaries, and performing complex checksum validations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reverse engineer ECU/TCU/PCM firmware with custom checksum calculations.
  • Master protocols like UDS, J1939, and OEM-specific stacks.
  • Analyze CAN logs and troubleshoot with sniffer tools (Vehicle Spy, PCAN, CANalyzer).
  • Collaborate on firmware review and embedded system problem-solving.

What You Bring

  • 7+ years in automotive software engineering, especially aftermarket/performance tuning.
  • Hands-on experience with diagnostic protocols from Ford, GM, Stellantis, Polaris.
  • Strong CAN bus, UDS, J1939, OBD-II protocol knowledge and hardware interface proficiency.
  • Expertise with ECU firmware formats and disassemblers (OlyDBG, Ida Pro).
  • Based in the US with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
