Role Overview

Become a "Developer-Hacker" architect blending low-level vehicle protocol reverse engineering and high-level cloud service development in C#. Responsibilities include binary firmware analysis, checksum validations, and developing cloud features for vehicle control modules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Binary Reverse Engineering of ECU/TCU/PCM firmware with manual hex and CRC calculations.
  • Master communication protocols UDS (ISO 14229), J1939, OEM-specific protocols.
  • Analyze CAN traffic using Vehicle Spy, PCAN, CANalyzer.
  • Collaborate on firmware C code and secure bootloader problem-solving.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years in automotive software focused on aftermarket/performance tuning.
  • Expertise with Ford, GM, Stellantis, Polaris diagnostic protocols.
  • Deep knowledge of CAN bus, UDS, J1939, OBD-II standards and hardware interfaces.
  • Skilled in ECU firmware formats and disassemblers like OlyDBG, Ida Pro.
  • US-based for time-zone collaboration.
  • Bachelor’s in CS, EE, or equivalent automotive reverse engineering experience.
