Role Overview

Join us as a hands-on 'Developer-Hacker' with deep skills in low-level vehicle systems and high-level cloud software (C#). You'll architect cloud features interacting with vehicle control modules, reverse-engineer ECU binaries, and validate complex checksums in this senior role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform binary reverse engineering and checksum (CRC) calculations.
  • Master communication protocols like UDS (ISO 14229), J1939, and OEM-specific stacks.
  • Analyze CAN logs using tools such as Vehicle Spy, PCAN, or CANalyzer.
  • Collaborate with embedded teams on firmware and secure bootloaders.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in automotive software engineering, focusing on aftermarket/performance tuning.
  • Hands-on experience with Ford, GM, Stellantis, Polaris diagnostic protocols.
  • Strong knowledge of CAN bus, UDS, J1939, OBD-II, and hardware interfaces.
  • Expertise with ECU firmware formats and disassemblers (OlyDBG, Ida Pro).
  • U.S. based for real-time collaboration.
  • Bachelor’s in CS, EE, or equivalent experience in automotive reverse engineering.
