As a Senior Developer-Hacker, you will blend vehicle reverse engineering with cloud development, architecting systems that decode ECU binaries and manage complex vehicle communications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reverse engineer ECU/TCU/PCM firmware binaries and implement checksum validations.
  • Master and troubleshoot communication protocols like UDS, J1939, and proprietary OEM stacks.
  • Analyze CAN traffic using advanced diagnostic tools.
  • Collaborate on firmware development and secure bootloader solutions.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years in automotive software engineering, especially aftermarket/performance tuning.
  • Expertise with Ford, GM, Stellantis, Polaris diagnostic protocols.
  • Proficient with CAN bus, OBD-II standards, and hardware diagnostics.
  • Skilled in binary formats and disassembler tools.
  • U.S.-based with relevant degree or equivalent experience.
