Role Overview

Seeking a senior 'Developer-Hacker' skilled in low-level vehicle systems and cloud software development. Architect cloud features interfacing with vehicle control modules, analyze ECU firmware, and implement custom checksum validations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reverse engineer ECU/TCU/PCM binaries and verify checksums
  • Master communication protocols like UDS, J1939, OEM specific
  • Analyze CAN logs with tools like Vehicle Spy and CANalyzer
  • Collaborate on firmware development with embedded teams

Qualifications

  • 7+ years in automotive software, aftermarket or performance tuning focus
  • Expertise with Ford, GM, Stellantis, and Polaris diagnostic protocols
  • In-depth knowledge of CAN bus, UDS, J1939, OBD-II, and hardware interfaces
  • Experienced in binary ECU formats and disassembly tools
  • US based, Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
