Role Overview
Seeking a senior 'Developer-Hacker' skilled in low-level vehicle systems and cloud software development. Architect cloud features interfacing with vehicle control modules, analyze ECU firmware, and implement custom checksum validations.
Key Responsibilities
- Reverse engineer ECU/TCU/PCM binaries and verify checksums
- Master communication protocols like UDS, J1939, OEM specific
- Analyze CAN logs with tools like Vehicle Spy and CANalyzer
- Collaborate on firmware development with embedded teams
Qualifications
- 7+ years in automotive software, aftermarket or performance tuning focus
- Expertise with Ford, GM, Stellantis, and Polaris diagnostic protocols
- In-depth knowledge of CAN bus, UDS, J1939, OBD-II, and hardware interfaces
- Experienced in binary ECU formats and disassembly tools
- US based, Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
