Role Overview
We seek a senior-level "Developer-Hacker" skilled in low-level vehicle systems and cloud-based software development. Architect cloud features interfacing with vehicle modules, process firmware binaries, perform complex checksum validations, and reverse engineer ECU protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform binary reverse engineering of ECU/TCU/PCM firmware.
- Implement and troubleshoot UDS, J1939, OEM protocols.
- Analyze CAN bus logs with tools like Vehicle Spy, PCAN.
- Collaborate on firmware development and secure bootloaders.
Requirements
- 7+ years in automotive software engineering, aftermarket focus.
- Expertise with Ford, GM, Stellantis, Polaris diagnostic protocols.
- Proficient in CAN bus, UDS, J1939, OBD-II standards.
- Skilled with binary formats, checksums, and disassemblers.
- US-based for timezone alignment.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering or automotive reverse engineering experience.
