Role Overview

Seeking a seasoned "Developer-Hacker" skilled in low-level vehicle systems and cloud-based software. As a systems architect, you'll develop cloud features linked to vehicle control modules, reverse engineer ECU firmware, and implement custom checksum validations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform binary reverse engineering on ECU/TCU/PCM firmware.
  • Master communication protocols like UDS, J1939, and OEM-specific standards.
  • Analyze CAN logs using industry-standard tools.
  • Collaborate on firmware troubleshooting and secure bootloaders.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years in automotive software engineering, focusing on aftermarket or performance tuning.
  • Hands-on experience with Ford, GM, Stellantis, and Polaris diagnostic systems.
  • Expertise in CAN bus communications and diagnostic protocols.
  • Skilled in ECU firmware formats and advanced binary analysis tools.
  • Based in the U.S. with a Bachelor’s in CS, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
