This senior role requires expertise in ECU binary data, CAN logs, and cloud C# service development. Responsibilities:

  • Reverse engineer ECU/TCU/PCM firmware binaries and implement custom checksum calculations
  • Master communication protocols including UDS, J1939, and OEM-specific stack implementations
  • Analyze CAN logs using advanced diagnostic tooling
  • Collaborate on firmware review and secure bootloader solutions

Requirements:

  • 7+ years in automotive software engineering focused on aftermarket/performance tuning
  • Hands-on experience with Ford, GM, Stellantis, Polaris diagnostic protocols
  • Strong hardware and protocol knowledge including CAN, UDS, J1939, OBD-II
  • Proficiency with PCAN, Kvaser, Vehicle Spy, and disassemblers like OlyDBG/Ida Pro
  • US-based for aligned collaboration
  • Bachelor’s in CS, EE, or related experience in automotive reverse engineering
