Role Overview

We seek an expert "Developer-Hacker" skilled in low-level vehicle systems (ECU binary data analysis, CAN logs) and high-level cloud development (C# services). Lead as a systems architect crafting cloud features interfacing with vehicle controls, managing firmware binaries, and ensuring checksum accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct binary reverse engineering and custom checksum calculations.
  • Master communication protocols including UDS (ISO 14229), J1939, and OEM-specific.
  • Analyze CAN traffic using tools like Vehicle Spy and PCAN.
  • Collaborate on firmware and secure bootloader development.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years in automotive software engineering, aftermarket focus.
  • OEM diagnostic protocol expertise for Ford, GM, Stellantis, Polaris.
  • Proficient in CAN bus, UDS, J1939, OBD-II, and hardware interfaces.
  • Skilled in ECU firmware formats and disassembly tools.
  • US-based with relevant degree or equivalent experience.
