Role Overview
We seek a senior "Developer-Hacker" with expertise in low-level vehicle systems (ECU binary data, CAN logs) and cloud-based C# software development. As systems architect, you will design cloud features linked to vehicle control modules, analyze firmware binaries, and execute complex checksum validations.
Key Responsibilities
- Reverse engineer ECU/TCU/PCM firmware binaries with custom checksum implementations.
- Master protocols like UDS (ISO 14229), J1939, and OEM-specific communications.
- Analyze CAN traffic using tools like Vehicle Spy, PCAN, and CANalyzer.
- Collaborate on firmware code and secure bootloader solutions.
Requirements
- 7+ years in automotive software with aftermarket or tuning focus.
- Hands-on experience with Ford, GM, Stellantis, Polaris diagnostic protocols.
- Deep CAN bus, UDS, J1939, OBD-II knowledge.
- Skilled in ECU firmware formats and reverse engineering tools (OlyDBG, Ida Pro).
- Based in the USA for real-time team alignment.
- Bachelor’s or equivalent expertise in CS, EE, or automotive reverse engineering.
