Role Overview

We seek a senior "Developer-Hacker" skilled in low-level vehicle systems like ECU binaries and high-level cloud C# development. As a systems architect, you will build cloud features interfacing with vehicle modules, reverse engineer firmware, and handle complex checksum validations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze ECU/TCU/PCM firmware binaries and implement custom checksum algorithms.
  • Master vehicle communication protocols (UDS, J1939) and OEM-specific stacks.
  • Diagnose CAN communication using sniffers like Vehicle Spy, PCAN, CANalyzer.
  • Collaborate on firmware and secure bootloader solutions with embedded developers.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years in automotive software, aftermarket or performance tuning preferred.
  • Expertise with proprietary protocols for Ford, GM, Stellantis, Polaris.
  • Proficient in CAN bus standards, hardware interfaces (PCAN, Kvaser, Intrepid).
  • Deep skills in ECU firmware formats and reverse engineering tools like Ida Pro.
  • US-based for real-time collaboration.
  • BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
