Role Overview

We're seeking a senior-level Developer-Hacker skilled in both low-level ECU binary data interpretation and high-level cloud C# service development. You'll architect systems integrating cloud features with vehicle modules and handle complex firmware reverse engineering and checksum validations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reverse engineer ECU/TCU/PCM firmware binaries and implement custom checksum calculations.
  • Master communication protocols such as UDS, J1939, and OEM-specific protocols.
  • Analyze CAN bus traffic using tools like Vehicle Spy, PCAN, or CANalyzer to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Collaborate with embedded developers on firmware and secure bootloaders.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in automotive software engineering focused on aftermarket/performance sectors.
  • In-depth experience with Ford, GM, Stellantis, Polaris proprietary diagnostics.
  • Expertise in CAN, UDS, J1939, OBD-II, and hardware interfaces.
  • Proficiency with firmware formats and disassembler tools.
  • Must be U.S.-based for real-time collaborative work.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent expertise in related fields.
