We're looking for a skilled "Developer-Hacker" with expertise in vehicle systems and cloud-based C# development to architect systems, decode firmware binaries, and create seamless cloud-vehicle interactions.

Role Highlights

  • Reverse engineer ECU/TCU/PCM firmware binaries and implement custom checksum validations.
  • Master and troubleshoot communication protocols including UDS (ISO 14229), J1939, and OEM-specific standards.
  • Analyze CAN logs using tools like Vehicle Spy, PCAN, and CANalyzer.
  • Collaborate with embedded developers on firmware and secure bootloader issues.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years in automotive software engineering, focused on aftermarket/performance tuning.
  • Hands-on experience with OEM diagnostic protocols (Ford, GM, Stellantis, Polaris).
  • Proficient with CAN bus, diagnostic standards (UDS, J1939, OBD-II), and hardware interfaces.
  • Skilled in ECU firmware formats, checksum calculations, and use of disassemblers such as OlyDBG and Ida Pro.
  • Must reside in the USA for real-time collaboration.
  • Bachelor’s degree in CS, EE, or equivalent experience in automotive reverse engineering.
