Role Overview

We're seeking a seasoned "Developer-Hacker" with deep expertise in vehicle low-level systems and cloud-based software development. You'll architect cloud features interacting with vehicle control modules, analyze firmware binaries, and create checksum validations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reverse engineer ECU/TCU/PCM firmware binaries.
  • Implement communication stacks like UDS, J1939, OEM protocols.
  • Analyze CAN logs using tools like Vehicle Spy, PCAN, CANalyzer.
  • Collaborate on firmware development and secure bootloader problem-solving.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years in automotive software engineering, aftermarket/performance tuning focus.
  • Hands-on OEM protocol experience (Ford, GM, Stellantis, Polaris).
  • Mastery of CAN bus, diagnostic standards, and hardware interfaces.
  • Proficient with ECU firmware formats and disassembler tools.
  • Based in the U.S. for real-time collaboration.
  • Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or automotive reverse engineering.
