What You Will Do:
- Reverse engineer ECU/TCU/PCM binaries, including detailed hex analysis and custom checksum calculations.
- Master and troubleshoot critical protocols like UDS (ISO 14229), J1939, and OEM-specific vehicle communication stacks.
- Analyze CAN bus traffic using leading diagnostic tools to resolve complex system communication issues.
- Collaborate on firmware development, enhance embedded software, and secure bootloaders.
What We Need from You:
- 7+ years in automotive software engineering with a solid aftermarket or performance tuning background.
- Deep hands-on experience with proprietary OEM diagnostic protocols (Ford, GM, Stellantis, Polaris).
- Intimate knowledge of CAN bus, diagnostic protocols, and hardware interfaces such as PCAN, Kvaser, and Vehicle Spy.
- Proficiency with ECU firmware formats and reverse engineering tools (OlyDBG, IDA Pro).
- Must reside in the United States for real-time collaboration.
- Bachelor’s degree in CS, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
