As a Developer-Hacker, you will bridge embedded systems expertise with cloud service development, architecting systems that decode vehicle ECU firmware and enable next-generation vehicle protocols.
What you'll do:
- Perform advanced binary reverse engineering and checksum validations of ECU firmware
- Master and implement complex communication stacks like UDS, J1939, and OEM-specific protocols
- Analyze CAN bus traffic using tools such as Vehicle Spy and PCAN
- Collaborate with firmware developers on embedded systems and secure bootloaders
What we seek:
- 7+ years of automotive software experience focusing on aftermarket or performance tuning
- Hands-on experience with Ford, GM, Stellantis, Polaris diagnostic protocols
- Expertise in CAN bus, OBD-II, UDS, and tools like Intrepid Control Systems
- Solid skills in ECU firmware formats and disassemblers like Ida Pro or OlyDBG
- Must be located in the US
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related technical fields
