Role Overview
We seek a skilled Developer-Hacker with expertise in vehicle systems and cloud software development. As a senior systems architect, develop cloud features interfacing with vehicle modules, process firmware binaries, and implement complex checksum validations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform binary reverse engineering on ECU/TCU/PCM firmware.
- Master communication protocols like UDS, J1939, and OEM-specific stacks.
- Analyze CAN logs using tools such as Vehicle Spy, PCAN, or CANalyzer.
- Collaborate on firmware and secure bootloaders with embedded developers.
Requirements
- 7+ years in automotive software engineering, focusing on aftermarket or performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with proprietary diagnostic protocols for Ford, GM, Stellantis, Polaris.
- Proficiency with CAN bus, UDS, J1939, OBD-II, and hardware interfaces.
- Expertise in ECU firmware formats and disassembler tools.
- US-based candidates preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in relevant fields.
