Automotive Detailer - Car Washer

About the role

Enterprise Mobility is seeking a responsible, dedicated person to join our team as an Automotive Detailer. The starting rate of pay is $17.50 / hour based on a 25 or 40 hour workweek. Employees can earn yearly merit increases based on performance. This position will be located at one of our locations within Middlesex County.

Responsibilities

• Lead commitment to exceptional cleaning practices, exceeding standard protocols to ensure health and safety
• Wash, clean, sanitize, inspect, and prepare vehicles including cars, trucks, and vans
• Clean, sanitize, vacuum, and prepare vehicle interiors according to industry-standard protocols
• Wash, clean and dry vehicle exteriors
• Check fuel level and warning lights; inspect windshield for damage; factory reset/restore vehicle setting to clear prior customer data
• Check for customer items and place valuables in Lost & Found
• Verify registration is present, current and matches license plate
• Check fluid levels and add as needed; check tire condition, pressure, and tread depth
• Inspect vehicle exterior for damage
• Fuel and stage vehicle
• Inspect vehicle for safety concerns; report any warning lights or damage
• Maintain clean, orderly work area and report unsafe or hazardous conditions
• Operate tools such as carpet shampoo machines or air purifiers
• Assist customers as needed; may transport customers to and from branches
• Help maintain overall site appearance including interior and exterior cleaning of branch locations
• Site appearance duties include cleaning desktops, countertops, phones, floors, trash, bathrooms, vacuuming, sweeping lot, and other daily cleanliness tasks
• Seek to improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training and goal setting
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to operate a motor vehicle is essential
• Valid, unrestricted US driver's license required
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Must be able to read, write, and understand English
• Must live within a reasonable commute of no more than 1 hour from the location
• At least six (6) consecutive months of prior work/organizational experience
• Must be at least 18 years old
• New Jersey DMV requirements for first-time drivers and under 21 years old: must complete mandatory Graduated Driver License (GDL) program requirements
