Automotive Detailer - Car Washer

Enterprise Mobility is seeking responsible, dedicated people to join our team as full time Automotive Detailers for our National and Alamo car rental brands. This position is located at John F. Kennedy Intl Arpt (JFK), NY 11430.

About the role

This position offers a base pay of $19.29 / hour, with an additional health care supplement of up to $5.92 per hour, bringing the total potential hourly rate to $25.21. Additional bonuses may also be available. The health care supplement amount may be adjusted after the first 90 days based on the benefits selected by the employee.

The schedule available is:

• 40 hours per week
• Must have open availability including days, evenings, overnights, and weekends, based on a shift bid.

Responsibilities

We are dedicated to upholding the highest cleanliness standards in the industry. As an Auto Detailer and Car Washer, you will lead our commitment to exceptional cleaning practices, exceeding standard protocols to ensure the health and safety of everyone.

You will be responsible for:

• Washing, cleaning, sanitizing, inspecting, and preparing a variety of vehicles including cars, trucks, and vans, ensuring they meet our high cleanliness and safety standards for customer rentals.
• Cleaning, sanitizing, vacuuming, and preparing vehicle interior according to industry-standard protocol.
• Washing, cleaning and drying the vehicle's exterior, which might include cars of different sizes, vans, and trucks.
• Checking fuel levels and warning lights.
• Inspecting windshield for damage.
• Factory resetting/restoring vehicle settings to clear prior customer data.
• Checking for customer items and placing anything of value in Lost & Found.
• Verifying that registration is present, current and matches the license plate.
• Checking fluid levels and adding as needed.
• Checking tire condition, pressure, and tread depth.
• Inspecting vehicle exterior for damage.
• Fuel and stage vehicle.
• Inspect vehicle for any safety concerns; report warning lights and/or vehicle/windshield/tire damage.
• Pull vehicle out of prep processing as necessary.
• Maintaining a clean and orderly work area and reporting unsafe or hazardous conditions.
• Wearing proper personal protection equipment (PPE).
• Ensuring cleaning, detailing, washing and sanitization supplies are available.
• Assisting customers when needed; may transport customers to and from the branches.
• Maintaining overall site appearance including general cleaning of interiors and exteriors of branch locations.
• Site appearance duties include desktops, countertops, phones, floors, trash, bathrooms, vacuuming, sweeping the lot, and other cleanliness-related tasks.
• Seeking to improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training and goal setting.
• Maintaining regular and reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle is an essential function of this position.
• Applicants must have a valid, unrestricted U.S driver's license.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring employment-based work permit sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Must live within a reasonable commute of no more than 1 hour from this location.
• Must have at least six (6) consecutive months of prior work/organizational experience.
