Automotive Detailer / Lot Attendant — Entry Level

About the role

We’re hiring for entry-level auto roles at Carvana, described as the fastest-growing used automotive retailer in U.S. history and one of the four fastest companies to make the Fortune 500.

In these entry-level roles, you’ll have a number of positions to choose from:

• Detailer: Detail vehicles, including washing, interior cleaning, and exterior buffing.
• Lot Attendant: Move vehicles from one department to the next in our Inspection Centers.
• Photobooth Associate: Take photos of our vehicles so customers can see our vehicles in our spinners.
• Inspection Associate: Inspect the interior and exterior of the vehicles and accurately identify any imperfections/defects.

Location: Our inspection center is located at 1951 Morgan Rd Bessemer, Alabama 35022.

About Carvana

To make sure our cars are in first-rate condition, we’ve built multiple vehicle Reconditioning Centers around the country, where our cars are inspected, perfected, and photographed before reaching the Carvana website.

Responsibilities

• Perform the duties of the selected entry-level role: vehicle detailing, moving vehicles between departments in Inspection Centers, photographing vehicles for customers to see in our spinners, or inspecting vehicle interiors and exteriors to accurately identify imperfections/defects.
• Work mandatory overtime based on business needs when required to help deliver vehicles when expected and follow through on our commitment to customers.

Requirements

• Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools; must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license. Some positions may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing production environment while sometimes being exposed to excessive weather conditions (heat/cold).
• Use safety equipment that may include, but is not limited to, a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
• Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check.
• This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
