Automotive Detailer

About the role

Enterprise Mobility is seeking a responsible, dedicated person to join the team as a full-time Automotive Detailer. The starting rate of pay is $16.50 / hour based on a 25-hour workweek. The position is located at 2006 E US Highway 20, Michigan City, IN 46360.

The available schedule is:

• Sunday: OFF
• Monday: 7:00am - 6:00pm
• Tuesday: 7:30am - 6:00pm
• Wednesday: 7:30am - 5:00pm
• Thursday: OFF
• Friday: 11:00am - 6:00pm
• Saturday: 7:30am - 12:30pm (alternating)

The company is dedicated to upholding the highest cleanliness standards in the industry. As an Auto Detailer and Car Washer, you will lead the commitment to exceptional cleaning practices, exceeding standard protocols to ensure the health and safety of everyone.

You will be responsible for washing, cleaning, sanitizing, inspecting, and preparing a variety of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and vans, ensuring they meet cleanliness and safety standards for customer rentals.

Responsibilities

We are hiring now for immediate openings. Responsibilities include:

• Clean, sanitize, vacuum, and prepare vehicle interiors according to industry-standard protocols.
• Wash, clean, and dry vehicle exteriors. This might include cars of different sizes, as well as vans and trucks.
• Check fuel levels and warning lights; inspect windshields for damage; factory reset/restore vehicle settings to clear prior customer data; check for customer items and place anything of value in Lost & Found; verify that registration is present, current, and matches the license plate.
• Check fluid levels and add as needed; check tire condition, pressure, and tread depth; inspect vehicle exteriors for damage.
• Fuel and stage vehicles.
• Inspect vehicles for any safety concerns; report any warning lights and/or vehicle/windshield/tire damage; pull vehicles out of the prep processing as necessary.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and report any unsafe or hazardous conditions.
• Operate tools such as carpet shampoo machines or air purifiers to eliminate stains, pet hair, and odors.
• Assist customers when needed. May transport customers to and from the branches.
• Help maintain overall site appearance, including general cleaning of the interior and exteriors of branch locations.
• Site appearance responsibilities include desktops, countertops, phones, floors, trash, bathrooms, vacuuming, sweeping the lot, and any other miscellaneous tasks related to the daily cleanliness of the branch location.

Additional responsibilities:

• Seek to improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training, and goal setting.
• Maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance and punctuality.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license with no more than one moving violation and/or at-fault accident on the driving record in the past three years.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by the company for this position now or in the future.
• Must have 12 consecutive months of work/organizational experience.
