This position is located in the Motor Pool Department of the Veterans Home of California – Redding. The Automotive Equipment Operator I operates and services passenger vehicles, trucks, small-wheeled tractors, and similar motor equipment; may instruct, lead, or supervise resident workers.
Responsibilities
- Operate, service, wash, and make minor adjustments and repairs to passenger vehicles, trucks, small-wheeled tractors, and other automotive equipment.
- Transport passengers.
- Load, unload, and deliver laundry, ice, food, furniture, freight, farm products, gravel, rubbish, and other materials.
Requirements
- Take and pass an examination for Automotive Equipment Operator I to establish list eligibility prior to job offer.
- This position is subject to the Post and Bid requirements for Bargaining Unit 12.
- Monthly application review cut-off periods are on the 1st of each month.
