The Automotive Launch Manager leads new product launches from award to production ramp-up in a Tier 1 automotive environment. This role ensures production readiness, cross-functional team coordination, and flawless execution of APQP & PPAP processes while satisfying customer expectations for timing, cost, and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead launch activities from design release to SOP
- Manage launch plans and milestones
- Coordinate teams: Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operations
- Interface with OEM and customer launch teams
- Support APQP deliverables and lead PPAP approval
- Manage equipment installation and manufacturing process validation
- Collaborate with suppliers and support supplier APQP/PPAP
- Provide regular status updates and support TS16949 initiatives
Qualifications:
- 3+ years in automotive manufacturing or Tier 1 supplier
- Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, and automotive core tools
- Experience launching new products
- Excellent project management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
