About the role
Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking an Automotive Manufacturing Operations Manager to join their team. As an Automotive Manufacturing Operations Manager, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting manufacturing teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering with an interest to transition into operational leadership.
Company: Manpower City: Holland, Michigan Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan Metro Area Pay Range: $120,000 - $140,000 Base plus Bonus, Benefits
Responsibilities
- Ensure that plant operations demonstrate world-class performance by leading strategic initiatives and managing daily activities.
- Provide technical expertise and management to optimize manufacturing processes, reduce costs, and eliminate waste.
- Develop, review, and maintain budgets and expenses to ensure financial performance aligns with organizational goals.
- Lead cross-functional teams to establish and maintain stable production schedules, labor requirements, and material flow.
- Champion continuous improvement projects, lean manufacturing techniques, and product innovations to enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
- 3-5 years of successful engineering experience in an automotive manufacturing environments.
- Deep knowledge of manufacturing processes, systems, quality standards, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop teams while fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Strong communication, project management, and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive results.
