Automotive Photographer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Photographer with Detail Tech experience to create high-quality photographs and prepare vehicles for presentation with online vehicle listings and internal inventory needs. This position requires someone who is self-motivated, organized, comfortable working independently, and able to maintain quality while moving efficiently through a high volume of vehicles.

Responsibilities

Automotive Photography

• Photograph vehicles using consistent angles, lighting, backgrounds, and presentation standards.
• Capture exterior, interior, wheel, dashboard, feature, and condition photos as required.
• Ensure vehicles are clean, properly staged, and photo-ready before photography.
• Review photographs for clarity, framing, reflections, lighting, and overall presentation before completing the vehicle.
• Follow the company's required photo sequence and inventory process.
• Accurately associate photographs with the correct vehicle or VIN.
• Maintain productivity while ensuring photos consistently meet quality standards.

Automotive Detailing

• Clean and detail vehicle interiors and exteriors to established quality standards.
• Wash, dry, vacuum, clean windows, dress tires, and perform other vehicle appearance services.
• Identify vehicles requiring additional cleaning or cosmetic attention.
• Maintain clean and organized detailing and vehicle staging areas.
• Safely use detailing chemicals, equipment, and supplies.
• Move and stage vehicles as needed while maintaining care and control of customer and company vehicles.

Requirements

• Automotive vehicle photography experience required.
• Previous professional automotive detailing experience preferred.
• Experience in an automotive dealership, used-car operation, auction, reconditioning center, body shop, or automotive merchandising company is highly desirable.
• Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, digital cameras, and vehicle inventory applications.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize when a vehicle is not presentation-ready.
• Ability to work independently and manage a daily vehicle workload without constant supervision.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions as required.
• Ability to perform the physical duties associated with automotive detailing, including standing, bending, reaching, and working around vehicles for extended periods.
