Responsibilities

• Perform root cause analysis of product and process quality issues using statistical analysis and structured problem-solving tools.
• Develop, implement, and validate cost-effective, permanent corrective actions to prevent recurring quality issues.
• Analyze internal and external quality data to identify trends, assess performance, and correlate quality indicators.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Suppliers to investigate and resolve quality issues beyond plant-level control.
• Coordinate engineering changes with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective implementation.
• Conduct product and process evaluations to verify the robustness of proposed changes before full implementation.
• Recommend, develop, and validate rework procedures for nonconforming products.
• Develop and improve inspection procedures, quality control methods, and best practices.
• Drive continuous quality improvement to ensure products and processes meet or exceed established standards.

Requirements

• Experience in automotive quality engineering, manufacturing quality, or a related engineering discipline.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and root cause analysis skills.
• Experience implementing corrective actions and validating their effectiveness.
• Ability to analyze quality data and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, and supplier teams.
• Knowledge of quality control processes, inspection procedures, and product/process validation.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and coordination skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with automotive exterior components or systems.
• Familiarity with structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone Analysis, FMEA, or similar quality tools.
• Experience with engineering change management and manufacturing or supplier quality issue resolution.
