About the Role
We seek an experienced Automotive Regulatory Compliance Manager to lead U.S. regulatory compliance, ensuring adherence to NHTSA, EPA, and CARB standards across production vehicles and cutting-edge robotaxi platforms. You will collaborate closely with partners like Waymo, engaging with regulators, engineering, and fleet operations to keep vehicles legally compliant and safe.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage post-certification compliance, defect reporting, recall coordination, and EPA/CARB requirements.
- Serve as a proactive problem solver for emerging compliance issues, driving cross-functional solutions.
- Partner with product, engineering, and legal teams to embed compliance into development, including OTA updates and ADAS features.
- Oversee third-party contractors and maintain compliance systems and documentation.
- Deliver executive-level insights and presentations, translating regulations into actionable strategies.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in relevant fields.
- 5+ years in U.S. automotive regulatory affairs, ideally with OEMs or suppliers.
- Expertise in NHTSA FMVSS, EPA, CARB ZEV/LEVS programs, and AV/robotaxi compliance.
- Strong communication skills and ability to navigate fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
