Lead Mechanical Engineer - Vehicle Engineering at Astrolab

We are seeking a Lead Structures Engineer to lead and mentor a team in creating high-performance planetary rovers and hardware for harsh lunar environments. Responsibilities:
- Define best practices for structures design, analysis, and testing
- Design mechanical and thermal platforms at an architectural level
- Build tools to enhance team and company efficiency
- Lead and prioritize team tasks through program phases
- Develop and mentor junior engineers
Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in STEM; Master’s preferred
- 4+ years in space industry design roles
- Proven leadership in design programs
- Experience with NASA standards and structural/thermal analysis
