The Material Handler performs day-to-day warehousing duties, including operating material-handling equipment, opening and sorting parts, cycle counting and inventory audits. The role also involves identifying, recording and transporting materials to and from storage areas, machines, loading docks and production lines while operating forklifts and other warehousing equipment.

This is a first-shift position working 5am to 3:30pm Monday-Thursday, with mandatory overtime on Fridays and occasional Saturday hours.

Location: 4431 W. Calhoun, Springfield, MO 65802.

Responsibilities

• Check new and core parts into the warehouse system and record the transaction history in the company inventory system.
• Perform cycle counting and inventory audits under the direction of the Inventory Supervisor.
• Pull and deliver parts from the warehouse to production lines.
• Store finished goods and assist in shipping and maintaining accurate finished goods inventory as directed.
• Operate company fork trucks, cherry picker and other equipment safely. Perform daily inspections and report maintenance issues to maintenance or the Warehouse Supervisor.

Essential qualifications

• Previous warehousing experience.
• Experience operating a forklift, cherry picker or other warehousing equipment, or ability to be trained.
• Ability to perform basic math; add and subtract numbers.
• Attention to detail and diligent problem solver.
• Able to frequently bend, stoop and lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Computer literate and able to be trained on company software.
