About the Role
Join the Powertrain Engineering team at Daimler Truck North America, focusing on the design and integration of internal combustion engine powertrains into heavy-duty specialty vehicles including trucks, buses, and RVs. Utilize advanced computer-aided engineering tools like finite element and multi-body simulation to develop innovative mechanical products and manufacturing processes.
What You Will Do
- Design mechanical components and systems applying engineering principles
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing and industrial design
- Participate in prototype development, testing, and assembly
Candidate Profile
- BSME or BSMET degree with 0-2 years experience
- Knowledge of industry practices and ability to work independently
- Strong communication, 3D design skills, and passion for automotive are a plus
