Job Description
We are looking for an experienced PLC Programmer with a strong background in automotive manufacturing and mandatory knowledge of Ford Standards. Join our team in Flat Rock, Michigan for a 5-month contract and bring your expertise in programming, troubleshooting, commissioning, and supporting industrial automation systems in a high-volume automotive production environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and debugging PLC programs for automotive manufacturing equipment
- Supporting equipment startup, commissioning, and production launches
- Programming Allen-Bradley / Rockwell Automation PLCs including ControlLogix and CompactLogix
- Ensuring compliance with Ford-specific manufacturing standards
- Troubleshooting industrial automation systems, electrical controls, sensors, and HMI systems
- Collaborating with engineers, technicians, and manufacturing teams
- Supporting continuous improvement for production efficiency
- Maintaining control documentation and PLC backups
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a PLC Programmer or Controls Engineer in automotive manufacturing
- Hands-on skills with Allen-Bradley PLCs and Rockwell Automation platforms
- Strong troubleshooting and commissioning expertise
- Ability to work onsite in Flat Rock, Michigan for 5 months
