About the role
East TN, high-volume manufacturing plant has an immediate opening for a Quality Assurance Manager. The Quality Assurance Manager will ensure IATF 16949 compliance, and will also design Quality systems and product audits. The role will lead a 10-member Quality team. This is a highly visible role reporting to the Plant Manager. This is a fast-paced environment where Quality is held to a high-standard. The Quality Assurance Manager is a key member of the plant leadership team.
Responsibilities
- Ensure IATF 16949 compliance.
- Design Quality systems and product audits.
- Lead a 10-member Quality team.
- Regularly interact with customers.
Requirements
- BS degree in a technical discipline.
- At least 5+ years prior experience in a Quality Manager role.
- Experience in Automotive Quality systems is ideal.
- Strong communication skills.
- Knowledge of 8D, 5Why, FMEA and Root Cause Analysis is highly important.
