We seek a hands-on engineer with expertise in ECU binary data, CAN logs, and cloud-based C# development. This senior role involves architecting cloud features interacting with vehicle control modules, processing firmware, and performing complex checksum validations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reverse engineer ECU/TCU/PCM binaries and implement custom checksum calculations.
  • Troubleshoot and develop communication stacks for UDS (ISO 14229), J1939, OEM-specific protocols.
  • Analyze CAN logs using tools like Vehicle Spy, PCAN, or CANalyzer.
  • Collaborate closely with embedded developers on firmware and secure bootloaders.

Candidate Profile:

  • 7+ years in automotive software engineering, especially aftermarket or performance tuning.
  • Hands-on experience with Ford, GM, Stellantis, Polaris diagnostic protocols.
  • Strong CAN bus, UDS, J1939, OBD-II diagnostic standards knowledge.
  • Expertise in ECU firmware formats (Intel Hex, Motorola S-Record) and disassembler tools such as OlyDBG or Ida Pro.
  • US-based for real-time collaboration.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
