Role Overview

We seek a skilled "Developer-Hacker" with expertise in low-level vehicle systems (ECU binary analysis, CAN logs) and cloud C# service development. As a Senior Systems Architect, you will design cloud features integrating with vehicle control modules, process firmware binaries, and perform advanced checksum validations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reverse engineer ECU/TCU/PCM firmware binaries, performing manual hex decoding and checksum calculations.
  • Master and troubleshoot communication protocols including UDS (ISO 14229), J1939, and OEM-specific stacks.
  • Analyze CAN traffic using sniffers like Vehicle Spy, PCAN, or CANalyzer.
  • Collaborate on firmware development and secure bootloader problem-solving.

Candidate Profile

  • 7+ years in automotive software engineering, focusing on aftermarket or performance tuning.
  • Hands-on experience with Ford, GM, Stellantis, and Polaris diagnostic protocols.
  • Strong CAN bus, UDS, J1939, OBD-II knowledge and proficiency with PCAN, Kvaser, or Intrepid systems.
  • Expertise in ECU firmware formats, checksums, and tools like OlyDBG or Ida Pro.
  • Must be US-based for real-time collaboration.
  • Bachelor's degree in CS, EE, or equivalent professional experience in automotive reverse engineering.
