Seasonal Automotive Detailer

About the role

Enterprise Mobility is seeking a responsible, dedicated person to join its team as a Seasonal Automotive Detailer. This position pays $16 per hour and is located at the Birmingham Airport: 5900 Messer Airport HWY, Birmingham, Alabama 35212.

From the start date of the seasonal position, service cannot exceed 150 days. The season begins July 13th and ends November 30th.

The schedules available are:

• Saturday-Wednesday: 5:00am-1:00pm
• Sunday-Thursday: 1:00pm-8:00pm

You will be responsible for washing, cleaning, sanitizing, inspecting, and preparing a variety of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and vans, ensuring they meet cleanliness and safety standards for customer rentals.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

• Clean, sanitize, vacuum, and prepare vehicle interiors according to industry-standard protocols.
• Wash, clean, and dry vehicle exteriors. This might include cars of different sizes, as well as vans and trucks.
• Check fuel levels and warning lights; inspect windshields for damage; factory reset/restore vehicle settings to clear prior customer data; check for customer items and place anything of value in Lost & Found; verify that registration is present, current, and matches the license plate.
• Check fluid levels and add as needed; check tire condition, pressure, and tread depth; inspect vehicle exteriors for damage.
• Fuel and stage vehicles.
• Inspect vehicles for any safety concerns; report any warning lights and/or vehicle, windshield, or tire damage; pull vehicles out of the prep processing as necessary.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and report any unsafe or hazardous conditions.
• Operate tools such as carpet shampoo machines or air purifiers to eliminate stains, pet hair, and odors.
• Assist customers when needed. May transport customers to and from the branches.
• Help maintain overall site appearance, including general cleaning of the interior and exteriors of branch locations. Site appearance responsibilities include desktops, countertops, phones, floors, trash, bathrooms, vacuuming, sweeping the lot, and any other miscellaneous tasks related to the daily cleanliness of the branch location.

Additional responsibilities:

• Seek to improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training, and goal setting.
• Maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance and punctuality.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record in the past 3 years.
• Candidates with more than 1 excessive speeding violation (defined as 26 or more miles per hour over the posted speed limit) on their driving record within the last 3 years will be disqualified from consideration.
• No drug or alcohol related conviction on driving record in the past 5 years.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by the company for this position now or in the future.
• Must be living within a reasonable commute of no more than 30 minutes from this location.
• Must have at least six (6) consecutive months of prior work/organizational experience.
• Must be available for Seasonal work lasting a maximum of 150 days and understand that you will be ineligible for any positions at Enterprise for 3 months following the end of Seasonal employment.
