Senior Automotive Quality Manager - Penang, Malaysia
Join our team as a Senior Staff Automotive Quality Engineer in an influential, customer-facing role specializing in Automotive Quality & Reliability Engineering. You will define and implement the Automotive Quality Operating System (QOS) to achieve zero defects, working with high-voltage integrated circuit products (>750V). Collaborate with company headquarters and supply base to manage qualifications, audits, PPAP documentation, and lead customer problem resolution. Candidates must have semiconductor industry experience and a track record of handling customer quality concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Align with customer quality expectations and fit-for-use product requirements.
- Resolve product quality and service issues promptly.
- Manage customer inquiries on quality, safety, and compliance.
- Prepare and oversee PPAP documentation.
- Lead corrective and preventive actions based on product/process non-conformities.
- Support automotive safety compliance per ISO 26262.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 10+ years in customer quality engineering for automotive integrated circuits.
- Experienced with IATF-16949 quality standards and PPAP documentation.
- Knowledgeable in ISO 26262 safety management, FMEDA, AEC Q100 qualifications.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and IATF-16949 QMS standards.
- Willingness to travel internationally frequently.
