Job Overview

As a Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic, you will supervise and perform maintenance, repair, and recovery operations on wheeled and select armored vehicles essential to the Army's mission. Responsibilities include inspecting, servicing, maintaining, repairing, replacing, adjusting, and testing vehicle systems and components, including automotive electrical systems.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizen or permanent resident with valid Green Card
  • Aged 17 to 34
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must meet tattoo guidelines
  • No major legal violations or medical concerns

Skills & Training

  • Learn maintenance and repairs, electronic troubleshooting, and electrical systems
  • Access to 124 nationally recognized certifications
  • Complete 10 weeks Basic Training and 14 weeks Advanced Individual Training
  • ASVAB score requirements (92 Mechanical Maintenance or 87 Mechanical Maintenance + 85 General Technical)
